The McGill University Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is inviting applications for a full-time Contract Academic Staff position at the rank of Assistant Professor (Clinical) based at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). This will be a Contract Academic Staff position and does not confer eligibility for tenure.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Hold a medical degree, and must hold or be eligible for, licensure in the province of Quebec; 
  
• Have completed Vascular Surgery training, preferably within the last 1-3 years and be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent);
  
• Have completed a minimum of 1-year Clinical Fellowship in vascular surgery after residency; 
  
• Possess a Ph.D. and demonstrate the potential for excellence in fundamental research within the field of vascular science 
  
• Be committed to, and demonstrate excellence in, clinical care, research, teaching, and innovation; formal evidence of excellence in these areas with prior peer-recognition, awards and/or distinctions will be considered an asset; 
  
• Bilingual language skills (French and English) are preferred, or a strong commitment to acquire the necessary language skills at the level needed to practice medicine in Quebec. Candidates should be able to interact in English and in French with patients, families, and health care professionals.
