The Division of Vascular Surgery at Western University in London Ontario is offering a 1-year Aortic Fellowship starting July (or September) 2026. This opportunity is open to candidates who have completed an accredited training program in Vascular Surgery. The fellow would have the opportunity to operate most days of the week on aortic cases with an emphasis on complex open and endovascular abdominal and thoracoabdominal aortic repairs. The position comes with a salary and the possibility of extra compensation for on-call billings. There is also the opportunity to complete a 1- year Masters of Surgery degree through the Department of Surgery on an aortic-related topic concurrently with the Fellowship.
The Division at Western has a large volume of both standard open aortic and complex open and endovascular TAAA repairs with a collaborative relationship with cardiac surgery. The fellow would also have the opportunity to attend hybrid aortic arch repairs.
