The University of Ottawa Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery is once again pleased to offer Vascular Surgery based Limb Preservation training. This unique opportunity is available to eligible candidates who have successfully completed an accredited vascular surgery training program and are seeking additional training in advanced open/endovascular skills and wound care as they relate to limb preservation. Fellowships will be offered for 6–12-month training periods. Candidates will benefit from one of the largest volumes of distal bypass surgeries and advanced endovascular lower extremity revascularization procedures in Canada’s most populated province, Ontario. The fellowship also offers advanced training in wound management in our Interdisciplinary Limb Preservation Clinic led by faculty from Vascular Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Foot and Ankle Orthopedic surgery, Infectious disease and Wound care. Training in wound care will lead to potential certification as a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP). Candidates interested in training for academic years 2023 and beyond can seek further information by contacting the Division directly via email: snagpal@toh.ca or tbrandys@toh.ca
Applications for the next academic year commencing July 1st 2023 will be accepted no later than May 5th 2023.
